Charming Cocktails: Rosémonade

It’s not secret that I’ve been on a serious rose kick over here, but honestly – can you blame me?! It’s called summer water for a reason anyways!

There’s something so chic and refreshing about the perfect glass of rose on a hot day, and I’ve been expanding my horizons to include rose cocktails to celebrate the warmer days. Since lemonade a rose both are quintessential summer drinks, I thought it could only be a good idea to mix the two into a super drink. Let me just say, it’s one of my best ideas yet 😉

I whipped this cocktail up for my sweet friend Vija for her summer cocktail series, and it was so sweet of her to ask me to contribute alongside some other incredible hostesses with the mostesses. Vija is the creator of this adorable pineapple wine bottle opener with her company, Grenville society, which are perfect hostess gifts for summer cocktail parties or BBQ’s. I got together after work with my friend Lauren and we mixed together this delightful cocktail that’s perfect and easy for hot summer days. If you’re planning to have your girlfriends over soon, definitely consider this as your cocktail of choice!

Rosemonade Ingredients:

  • Ice
  • 1 bottle of dry rose wine
  • 3 cups lemonade
  • 3 shots vodka
  • 1 medium lemon, sliced for garnish
  • 1 can club soda

Directions if you’re making a large batch: Combine the rose, lemonade, and lemon slices and shots of vodka in a large pitcher filled with ice. Top with club soda, and serve to enjoy!

If you’re making a few glasses at a time: Pour your rose into coup glasses {or whatever you’d prefer!} halfway. Next, mix the vodka, ice and lemonade together in a shaker, to thoroughly mix together. Strain into your glasses and serve with a garnish of a lemon slice. Add more ice if desired and top with cold club soda.  Now you’re ready to par-taaaaay! Or at least impress your girlfriends 😉 It’s seriously so easy and tastes delicious – the perfect mix of a little sweet, fruity and refreshing. I’ve already made it a few times this summer and I’m planning to whip it up again soon! In other news, any plans for this weekend? I’m finally back in Chicago and I’m excited to relax, hang with friends and whip up some cocktails for patio hangs. I hope you have some fun plans in the works to look forward to too! xx
