Who doesn't love Kate Spade? But unfortunately, my savings account doesn't love it as much as I do....
So what's a girl to do when she's craving these gorgeous polka dot sneakers?
She attempts a DIY...
Here's what you need -
1) Something to trace polka dots {I used the top of a nail polish}
2) A brand spanking new Sharpie {both large and skinny}
3) A pencil to trace
Step by step -
And repeat! Untill you have these lovelies -
Now all I need is some spring weather to cooperate with us Wisconsinites to wear these babies out! Hopefully very very soon!

they turned out very well. i use to paint my own white keds all the time! i actually have the kate spade polka dot keds and these do look a lot like them! what a great diy!

ReplyDeleteSo very extremely loaded with cuteness. I'll be taking a trip to Payless for pair of white sneaks. You did a great job with the sharpie. You must have patience and a very steady hand.
ReplyDeleteI have a pair of denim Keds, hummmm, maybe I'll put white dots on them, a little reversal, why not, too hoaky? They're getting a little faded so maybe the white dots will help them look better. Do you put anything on the dots so they don't bleed when washed?
